Day 2 of the Central European Rally 2025 has wrapped up, and it’s all about Sébastien Ogier once again — calm, clinical, and extending his lead heading into Saturday. The Frenchman seems in full control, reminding everyone why he’s still the master of mixed-surface rallies.
Kalle Rovanperä and Elfyn Evans kept the pressure high, staying right on Ogier’s heels and ensuring Toyota Gazoo Racing maintains a dominant presence at the top. Hyundai’s hopes, however, rest on Ott Tänak. Despite flashes of pace, the team continues to struggle to find the ideal car balance and feeling that could push them into podium contention.
Ford’s Grégoire Munster had a tough moment after a jump that damaged his rear suspension — a setback that cost him valuable time. Meanwhile, Thierry Neuville closed Day 2 in P8, while Takamoto Katsuta continues to impress, sitting closely behind Tänak in P5.
With Saturday promising tighter stages and unpredictable conditions, all eyes are on whether Hyundai can fight back, and if Toyota can seal another near-perfect weekend.
