The past four days have been a thrilling rollercoaster in Sweden, where the combination of snow, ice, and insane speed pushed drivers to their limits. But through all the drama, one thing remained constant—Elfyn Evans was on a mission. From the first stage to the last, he dominated the rally, proving that Toyota is back with a statement.
Evans, The Ice King
From the moment Rally Sweden began, Elfyn Evans and co-driver Scott Martin took control, setting the pace and never looking back. The Welshman showed unwavering determination, handling the icy terrain like a true master and securing his well-earned victory. Toyota’s strategy was crystal clear—keep Hyundai at bay and maintain the manufacturers’ championship lead.

Following closely behind was his teammate, Takamoto Katsuta, who delivered an incredible performance to finish second. His continued improvement from Monte-Carlo was evident, and his five points from Super Sunday showcased Toyota’s hunger for success.
Meanwhile, reigning WRC champion Thierry Neuville fought hard but had to settle for third place, just ahead of his Hyundai teammate, Ott Tänak. Toyota’s Kalle Rovanperä had a tough time adjusting but managed to secure fifth place, a result that may not fully reflect his potential. However, Safari Rally Kenya is coming up—and if history tells us anything, Rovanperä shines on African soil.
